Soil treatment facility, site remediation and Employment Park, Partington, Greater Manchester (2007-2009)

Undertook Extended Phase 1 habitat survey, great crested newt survey and produced ecology chapters for Environmental Statements for a proposed soil treatment facility and localised remediation on a large National Grid site.  Produced ecology report for proposed Employment Park.  Managed liaison process with statutory consultees with the aim of securing agreement to ecological mitigation prior to planning application submission.  Ecological issues: bats, little ringed plover, pond habitat.

The soil treatment facility is now operational and has recently been granted permission to continue activities for another three years (reported here).  Upon completion of soil treatment activities, the site will be transformed into a 1 million square foot business park with the creation of 1,750 jobs.
