Local Wildlife Site monitoring, Dagger’s Bridge Wood, Knowsley (2012)

The intoxicating scent of bluebells in the sunshine – I lucked out a couple of weeks ago at Dagger’s Bridge Wood, finding the bluebells in perfectly full bloom.  The rest of the woodland was in fine condition too, with lots of dog’s mercury, ramsons and even wood anemone.

This woodland is on private land with no public access except by arrangement with the landowner.
