Ecological appraisal, Crewe (2013)

We ecologists like to see fun things, and I for one always get excited to see an unusual species when out on site, but sometimes it’s nice just to go to a site proposed for development and find absolutely nothing.  There’s something satisfying about saying to a client, yes, I foresee absolutely no problems at all with this site, just go for it.  And so it was with this Phase 1 habitat survey of a site in Crewe, Cheshire, which had been cleared to hardcore a few years ago and had nothing much on it except buddleia.

The site is currently confidential as it hasn’t gone to planning yet, but when it goes public I’ll update this post and then you’ll see what I mean…
