Badger survey, Macclesfield (2014)

Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group‘s vaccination programme is in full effect, with surveys currently taking place in Cheshire East.  Paul and I joined in on one sunny Sunday in May and were partnered with Maggie to survey a large field and adjacent woodland for badger signs.  There were signs of rabbits everywhere, and although we swished hopefully through the long grass hunting for badger setts, we didn’t find a thing.  Still, it was a nice day out and it will be one less place needing a trap set out in Phase 2 of the project.

Nice trees seen during survey
