I am an experienced professional botanist. I trained as a botanist at the University of Reading and hold a full pass of the Vascular Plants Identification Qualification (IdQ) from the Natural History Museum. I am a tutor for the Identiplant course run by the Botanical Society of the British Isles and organise bryological and vascular plant recording meetings for Warrington Plant Group, the BSBI and the BBS. Click here to see where I’ve been botanising lately.
I am able to undertake all standard botanical surveys, including NVC, hedgerow survey, arable plants survey and bespoke surveys for individual species. I can also survey for invasive plant species such as Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam.
